General discussion

Despite the very damp conditions after yesterday's deluge we eventually got a fire going this morning and a dedicated team of volunteers kept the fire fed for the rest of the day. We managed to get rid of a huge pile of cuttings and branches, two great piles of sodden wood as well as barrow loads of cuttings from allotment members. Fortunately the wind was in our favour so we were able to keep the fire going all day and the site has been transformed. A plum and two greengage trees can breath once again! Thanks to everyone who came to help.
