Sadly the Honda Izy mower has suffered terminal failure and has been laid to rest. Fortunately a local dealer was happy to take it for spare parts so it was spared the shame of being dumped at the Byker recycling depot.

Fear not though, a brand new 18 inch (Slightly bigger than the previous 16 inch) Honda Izy has just been delivered and I am in the process of preparing it for use. Please do take care of it as best you can - check the area for stones and other obstacles before mowing and, especially when the grass is wet, don't drop the cutting deck too low to avoid over-straining the motor. Preferable to do two cuts with the second pass slightly lower. Please clear the underside of the cutting deck after use and report any issues in the Log book in the lock up.

Meanwhile the Rover mower is still working well although I appreciate some people find it harder to start and a bit heavier than the Honda. The new Honda has the latest "easy start" technology.
