Successful peanut crop at Highbury South!
Climate change has brought many challenges but one advantage of the warmer temperatures is the opportunity to experiment with new crops. I caught Asif leaving the allotment the other day with his freshly harvested crop of peanuts ready to be shelled and dried. It’s a very slow germinating crop and requires a long growing season so not the easiest to grow but maybe we need a new category for next year’s show!
