July 2025 Working Party

Dear Plot-holders,

"We had a very profitable working party on Sunday. A huge vote of thanks is due to all those who worked on Gordon Moir’s plot and removed so many stones and shrubs as well as levelling the ground. We also did a good job in pruning the vegetation overlooking Highbury as well as pruning shrubs trespassing on the pathway between Jesmond Dene and Highbury. Thanks are due to the litter-pickers and the mowers who cut back many of the paths. And there were many other pruners who made our site in other places more accessible, including those who lopped the willows round the barbecue area.

Particular thanks are due to David and Jane Callan for providing an excellent lunch including soup and a variety of bacon sandwiches and burgers.

In all, we had 51 people who signed in for the working party and I’m sure there are a number who also attended but did not include their names.
